The Merit Contractors Association has a benefits program administered by Mercon Benefit Services that was specifically designed for employees in the construction industry. The hour bank plan is transferrable between Merit member firms and allows for coverage during the off-season and lay-offs. Upon completion of 300 hours of work, comprehensive benefits include: dental, medical, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, out-of -ountry coverage as well as an employee assistance program provided through Shepell.fgi.
